I love Mothers day! And even more now that I finally am a mother!

Mothers work tirelessly and let’s be honest, often without thanks as well, so celebrating Mother’s day is very important to me.
For me, being a mother means to care; care about not only your child(ren), but to be caring and nurturing. So even if you aren’t literally “a mother” to someone, you should still be celebrated on mothers day.
My sweet hubby always made a deal out of our dogs “celebrating” Mother’s day and honoring me for all my care for them, back before Dianna was born. And just the acknowledgement of all your hard work is a wonderful thing! Everyone needs to feel acknowledged and appreciated. And Mothers day is a great way to do just that.
And it doesn’t have to cost a fortune either.

Sometimes the best presents are free and most memorable! So don’t feel pressured into having to buy something expensive.
Last year my beautiful babygirl (and her daddy mostly) bought me a golden locket with a picture of all 3 of us in it!
I never leave the house without it! It is my most treasured possession. It will be hard to top this year 😉 But I’m sure my heart will melt if I ever recieved a song or poem
– I’m such a sap!
